The past couple of posts I have been mainly complaining or pointing out negative things of living in India, but rest assured; it's not all bad.
One of the many things I love about India for expats, is the accessibility to high standard health care. And I mean the IMMEDIATE access, as in "can I make an appointment with the specialist" - "yes, how does 1.30pm TODAY sound"??!!
There are no waiting lists, doctors are available most days including Saturdays. They treat you with respect and give you their phone number so you can WhatsApp your progress... WHATTTT? Where else do you exchange phone numbers to WhatsApp your physician?
If you are a hypochondriac this constant direct access might be a little overwhelming and the buffer of a family doctor may be better, but if you are like me; knowing when to go, who to see and what I want, this system is absolutely perfect.
